We are excited to welcome Rachel Carter as our new Director of Pickleball. Rachel is a native Wacoan and retired from Bosqueville ISD in 2023. She joins us after 30 years with BISD where she served as the Technology Director for the district and was the high school cheer sponsor for several years. She found her passion for pickleball while on honeymoon with her husband, David, ten years ago. She was among the first few at WRTF to play pickleball on our courts when we just had tape and portable nets! Together Rachel and David have five grown children, and one grandchild. She says, “While I may be a nerdy tech at heart, I absolutely love sports! I’m excited to expand our pickleball socials and Open Play, and I can’t wait to see everyone on the courts!”
